ELECTION NOTICE NO. 1

As per the decision of the managing Committee meeting held on 21^st September, 2009 the Election of Press Club of India Executive Committee will be held on Saturday, 24^th October, 2009 from 11.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. for the following posts.

(a) Election on Saturday, October 24^th, 2009

1. President (One) 2. Vice President (Two)

3. Secretary General (One) 4. Treasurer (One)

(b) Election of 16 Members of the Managing Committee

The Schedule for Election will be as follows :

1. Nomination to be received – 3^rd Oct., 2009 - 11.00 a.m. to 11^th Oct., 2009 - 6.00 p.m.

2. Scrutiny of Nomination _ 11^th Oct., 2009 - 6.30 p.m.

3. Withdrawal of Nomination _ 11^th Oct., 2009 - 6.30 p.m. to 15^th Oct., 2009 - 6.00 p.m.

4. Polling _ 24^th Oct., 2009 (Saturday) - 11.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.

5. Counting of Votes _ 25^th Oct., 2009 (Sunday) - 10.30 a.m. onwards

The following have been appointed “Election Officers” for the conduct of Press Club of India Elections.

6. Mr. M.S. Mani (M. No. 4831) Election Officer

N.B. : ALL ORDINARY MEMBERS WHO HAVE CLEARED THEIR DUES BY CHEQUE (BEFORE 10 DAYS OF POLLING DATE i.e. 14^TH OCT., 2009) OR CASH, ARE ENTITLED TO CAST THEIR VOTES. THIS RESOLUTION PASSED BY G.B.M. HELD IN 1995 BY FORMER SEC. GEN. LATE SH. CHAND JOSHI.

Subscription and other dues should be cleared for the billing upto 31^st August, 2009. Candidates, Proposers and Seconders should clear their dues before filing Nomination.
